Passed away on the morning of April 16, 2012. Katie was born on August 30, 1949, and raised in New Ulm, MN. Katie graduated from nursing school and spent a career taking care of the elderly but lived for taking care of her family. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Monica Keute. Survived by her best friend and husband of 41 years, Steve, children Lisa, John, Dana, Andy and grandchildren Lincoln and Cooper who she absolutely adored. Katie was a meticulous knitter who loved making hats and booties for new babies and sweaters and blankets for her grandkids. She practiced unconditional love, unapologetic loyalty, and old-fashioned German stubbornness. She truly lived for moments with friends and family, savoring moments of humor and love.
