Kathryn Fosse

Fosse, Kathryn "Kate" Eileen (Van Deusen)

Age 77, died Friday, December 11 after a brave fight with cancer. She was born on September 2, 1932 to Albert and Marvel Van Deusen in Minneapolis, where she grew up. She was united in marriage to Stanley Fosse on March 17, 1951, and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

Kate loved her family and friends, and liked to cook and bake and keep house and laugh.

Survivors include her husband; son, Richard (Rocky); daughter, Virginia (Rick) Oie; grandchildren, Christie Valdez, and Rebecca and Jennifer Oie; 3 step-grandsons, 6 step-great-grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Surviving brothers & sisters: Ruth Dodd, Richard (Ann) Van Deusen, Donna Johnson, Ann Johnson, George Van Deusen, Shirley Husted, Loren Forbes, and Cheryl Hilke; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Virginia Pieper, Donnie and Shirley Alsaker, Harry and Lorraine Hanson, Harris Rierson, Kenny and Margaret Fosse, and Stanley Syverson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Robert and Kenneth.





Kate will be missed by many. May God bless her memory.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 11 AM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Ave. S. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Monday, 5-8 PM at BRADSHAW and 1 hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to Fairview Hospice.
