Ken Lohberger passed from this life on July 7th, 2017 in the presence of his family at the age of 66 years old. He was born and raised on the family farm in Paullina, Iowa. After graduating high school he went on to technical school in Sheldon, Iowa, where he met Marilyn Reiners. They were later married in 1974. Ken purchased a brand new 1972 butterscotch gold Gremlin; he loved his car. In 1977, Ken and Marilyn were blessed with their son, Lance, who was born in Bloomington, Minnesota. At that time, Ken was employed at 98th Street Auto where he worked for over 30 years. Ken was inventive and creative, and used his hands to fix anything and everything. After the onset of dementia, Ken lived with his son, Lance. During that time, he continued to work on cars, practice woodworking, camping, biking, hiking and enjoyed beautiful sunsets.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Michael Joseph Lohberger. He is survived by his son, Lance (Jamie Ramsey); mother, Rosalind Catherine Lohberger; siblings, Mary (Art) Meyers, Charlene Christian, Dean Lohberger, John Lohberger; wife, Marilyn Lohberger; nieces and nephews, Lucas Meyers, Leland Meyers, Jason Stieneke, Rebecca Christian, and Ryan Christian; and many friends.
Ken's funeral will be at 2p.m. on Tuesday, July 11th 2017 at Faithbrook Church, 14100 Elm Creek Road, Dayton, Minnesota 55369. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
