Kenneth John "Kenny" Schmitz

Age 62, of Stillwater, passed away on May 18, 2024.

Born in 1961, Ken was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather who brought joy and laughter to everyone he met with his memorable jokes and warm spirit.

Ken is survived by his devoted wife, Beth Schmitz; his son, Tony (Becca) Schmitz; his daughter, Missy (Dan) Preuss; and his three cherished grandchildren, Calvin, Evelyn, and Harrison. He is also survived by his two brothers, Val (Connie) Schmitz and Ted (Karen) Schmitz, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graduate of Johnson High School, Class of '79, Ken dedicated 35 years of his life to serving the Stillwater community as a firefighter and a school bus mechanic. Known for his incredible memory and the ability to recall everyone's name, Ken's presence was a constant source of cheer and comfort.

Ken's sense of humor, dedication, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A Celebration of Ken's life will be held on June 15 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a time of sharing from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, MN.

Rest in peace, Ken. You will be forever remembered and cherished.
