It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Kidist
Sebhatleab Tsegazeab, who passed away peacefully on Feb 26, 2023 at 49 years old. She was
surrounded by her loving family, who held her hand and whispered their love and support as she
transitioned from this world to the next.
Kidist was born on Sep 7, 1973 to Sebhatleab Tsegazeab and her late mother Azmera Hageray, who
instilled in her a deep sense of compassion, kindness, and love. She grew up in Addis Ababa and Mekele
Ethiopia and attended a Adventist school in Mekele ,middle school, and high school in Addis Ababa,
After graduating high school, she eventually meeting the love of her life, Wondwosen Demere, 30 years
ago whom she married in June 2010 and spent 13 wonderful years with him in the USA.
Together, Kidist and Wondwosen built a beautiful life filled with love, joy, and laughter. They raised two
children, Addis Demere 11 and Amen Demere 8, who were the center of their world. Kidist was an
incredible mother who devoted her life to her children, always putting their needs before her own. She
taught them important values such as kindness, respect, and the importance of family, culture and
above all tought them to speak, read and write their families native language Tigrigna and Amharic,
which they carry with them to this day.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Kidist was also a beloved member of her community.
She volunteered her time and resources to her church, always eager to help those in need. She had a
heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room, and she touched the lives of everyone she met.
Kidist, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her devoted husband,
Wondwosen Demere, her loving children, Addis and Amen Demere, and a large extended family and
network of friends. While we grieve her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and
reunited with those who have gone before her.
A celebration of Kidist's life will be held on March 3 at 12:30 pm at 2601 Minnehaha Ave S Minneapolis
