Our beloved Kong M. Thao went to be with our Lord 5:00PM on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022 at age 46.
A cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Kong dedicated his life to serving God, as evident by his 20 years in public service through his work with St. Paul Public Housing Agency and his ministrations as a longtime church pianist and youth mentor at Hmong American Alliance Church in Maplewood, Minnesota.
Kong was greeted in heaven by his father, Chou G. Thao (Txawj Pov Thoj), and his mother, Salay Her (Nam Txawj Pov Thoj).
His love lives on through his wife of 18 years, Chee A. Thao, and their 5 beautiful children; Selah, Zannah, Zachariah, Tabitha, and Leah.
He is survived by his siblings; Mala and Sai Her, Linda Thao, and Meejoluj and Alicia Thoj. He will be missed dearly by his father and mother in-law, Wang T. and Nou L. Khang, his siblings-in-law; Lee Ntxhw and Christine Khang, Ly Khang, Ntxhuav and Mang Khang, and Mai Kao and Derek Campbell. He will be missed by his many nephews; J, K, Titan, Troy, Maverick, Cedric, Malakai, Noah, and Ivan: by his numerous nieces; A, L, Kayla, Jay, Ella, Madison, Amelia, and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and Friends.
The family invites you to a celebration of life in Kong's honor on Saturday, March 12th with services at 10:00AM and 4:00PM at Woodbury Lutheran Church - Valley Creek Campus.
The burial service will take place at Roselawn Cemetery on Monday, March 14th at 10:00AM with a final viewing from 8:00AM to 9:30AM.
