Kristina "Kris" Aikens

Age 61 of Stillwater passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 11th, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her son, Cooper; and her parents Fred and Margaret Oakden.

She will be forever remembered by her husband of over 40 years, Alex; her children Alexander, Spencer(Brittani), Sandrea, and Zachary(Jade); grandchildren Carter, Kody, Brenden, Nyla, Brantley, Bennett, Zachary, Jaxon, Sawyer, and Mia; great grand daughter Kiya; siblings Mark(Michelle), and Andrew(Meghan); and many other beloved family and friends.

Kris has always been a fighter, battling cancer for nearly 20 years. In addition to her immense inner strength, she had a natural calling to help those around her. This empathetic and caring nature was seen in multiple aspects of her life from being a foster parent, to volunteering at a battered women's shelter, to her lifelong career as an RN at The Childrens Hospital in Saint Paul, MN.

Kris had an unwavering faith in The Lord, he was present with her through all the stages of her life and the support she received and gave within his light was far reaching and pure. She lived her life with an overflowing amount of love and dedication for her family. All those that knew her were embraced wholeheartedly with her warmth and tenderness.

Her family draws comfort from the fact that, at the end, she left this world with a smile on her face knowing she would reunite with her beloved son, Cooper.

A service celebrating Kris' life will be held at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater on Saturday, May 17th at 5p.m. with a visitation beginning an hour prior. In honor of her philanthropic and giving nature, memorial donations may be made in Kristina's name to Halos of the Saint Croix Valley.
