Laverne Gollnick

Laverne Gollnick of Moundsview, MN passed away on March 02,2023 to a greater life. He is catching up on his reading with perfect eyesight, just as Jesus gave the blind man sight.

He was born Sept 5th, 1929, in Oshkosh, WI to Karl and Laura Gollnick. He graduated from Wautoma High School in Wautoma, WI, and the University of Minnesota. During the Korean War he served as a Telegraph Operator in Communications. Returning from Korea he was employed by the Soo Line Railroad at the Gloster Station in Maplewood, MN and later he was employed by the Pearson candy Company and the Cornelius Company in Anoka, MN.

Survived by Wife Nancy and perfect children Paul (Susan) Gollnick, Amy (Jason) Bresnahan. Laverne was very proud of five wonderful Grandchildren: Hailey, Hayden Gollnick. Landon (fiancé Sydney Henningsen), Kaeylen (fiancé Brandon Haag), Bauer Bresnahan and Special Cousins Luann and Roger Schmitt.

Memorial Service will be held April 17 th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour before the service at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Drive, Moundsview MN. Internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu if flowers, memorials are preferred to Abiding Savior or donors’ choice. Laverne was blessed with a life of 93 yrs. Now “Return oh my soul to your rest.” Psalm 116
