Lavon Kubly

LaVon Kubly, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 25th, 2017. She lived at the Gables Care Center in Oak Park Heights, Minnesota and was lovingly cared for by a staff that can only be described as superlative. They loved and cared for her in a way that made them a part of her (our) family as well.
LaVon was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard and son, Gary. She is survived by two children, Ron (grandsons Jason and Aaron; great grandsons Jerod and Aiden); Deanne (Alan) and granddaughter, Jenna; daughter-in-law Pat, grandsons Matthew, Andrew (Janet) great grandchildren Joseph and Avery; and Erin Rodgers (Steve) great grandchildren Kaia, Sadie and Nathan; two sisters Elain Edge and Patsy Crawford (George) and sister-in-law, Velva Haugen as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mom was an avid sports fan, an excellent seamstress and tailor, cook and baker. We will all miss her greatly, for her loving support of all of us who knew and loved her. She was our counselor, parent, friend, and encourager throughout our lives.
In lieu of flowers, LaVon would have encouraged donations to Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, a local ministry that she passionately appreciated and supported. Please indicate that donations are being made in memory of LaVon Kubly.
