Lee Vermurlen

Lee Russell VerMurlen

83, of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away on October 17.

Lee was born in Grand Haven, MI to Ann and Russell VerMurlen.  After graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in July 1956 and became an electronics technician.  He met his wife Diane at a dance in Milwaukee, WI in Nov. 1956 and later married her in 1959.  Lee left the Navy in April 1968 and moved to the Twin Cities of Minnesota to take a job with Sperry/Univac from which he later retired.  While working fulltime, Lee earned a degree in business administration from the University of MN.  Lee and Diane had 5 children.  Lee and Diane were long time members of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN.  Lee was also a loyal Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan and enjoyed watching their games.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jack, and his wife, Diane.  He is survived by his children, Mark VerMurlen, Vicki Budzisz, Michelle Walker, Jeff VerMurlen, and Amy Dhodapkar; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and brother, Bob.

Private services for the family will be held.
