peacefully on March 25, 2014
Leo was born April 27, 1929 to Leo and Catherine (Lindl) Koran. He served his country in the US Army with tours in Japan and Korea. Leo worked from 1953-1984 for the City of St. Paul, part-time bartender for Dean's on Rice Street. His love for fast pitch softball of 23 years and his highlight homerun for Whittaker Buick in the Stratford Conn. Tournament paved his way for his 1992 induction into the Softball Hall of Fame. Leo loved his casino trips and playing cards at Kuby's. Leo is preceded in death by father, Leo, mother, Catherine and son Scott. He is survived by children, Larry (Judy) Koran, Donald (Kathi) Koran, Beverly (Terry) Krystofiak, Kenneth Koran (girlfriend Cindy) and Terry Koran; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Special thanks to his family of caregivers at Ecumen in North Branch. They will miss his jokes. Service Monday 11AM at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice Street. Visitation starting at 9AM until time of service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
