Leon Siverhus

Age 78, of Stillwater, finished his fight with cancer on September 25, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born in Lac qui Parle Village. He married his hometown sweetheart Diane. They had 54 wonderful years together. He had a long career working as an auditor for the federal government.  Among his other interests, he was an active member of his church, at one time was the congregation president; enjoyed trying out new recipes; loved family gatherings as we all enjoyed these recipes; relaxing on his backyard deck; working daily word puzzles; traveling the world with his wife; visiting his hometown; rooting for Gopher football the Vikes and Twins. Leon was preceded in death by infant son, Greg and son, Mike; sister, Etta Cech; twin-sister, Lynette Yost Sandro; and brother, Doug.  He will be sadly missed by wife, Diane; son, Scott (Rita); grandchildren, Anders and Sonja; mother-in-law, Althea Digre; sister-in-law, Anette Digre; brother, Ardell (Sue); sister, Dianne (Wallace) Enga; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  Service Monday, September 30, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 609 South 5th Street, Stillwater.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment Fairview Cemetery.
