Leroy "Joe" Messenbrink

LeRoy “Joe” Messenbrink, age 91 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosella; son, Clark (Julie); grandchildren, Ariel (Ryan) Olmscheid, Jodi (Raymond) Messenbrink, Tiffany (Max) Voots, Paige Messenbrink; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Vivian, Gradon, Heidi, Ivana, Vince, and one on the way; sister, Loretta Knealing; nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Art and Ann; and sister, Leona. Joe had an engaging sense of humor and loved to tell stories. His family is thankful that he now has a whole new heavenly audience with whom to share. Joe was a doting grandfather. It’s comforting to know he will be looking down on his “angels.” Memorial Mass will be 11am Saturday at CHURCH OF ST. ALBERT THE GREAT, corner of 29th Street and 32nd Avenue South, Minneapolis, with visitation one hour prior.
