Born July 24, 1918 in St. Paul, Mn. son of Edna (Erickson) and J. Emil Rydeen. Long time resident of May Township, Marine on St. Croix.

Member of the American Legion Post #48, VFW Post #323, Stillwater Rotary, May Town Board, Minn. Holstein Assoc., WWII Army Veteran, 34th Infantry Division, and former Washington Co. Commissioner. Life member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he also served on the church council.

Survived by wife, Phyllis (nee Schroeder); children, Judy Edstrom, Sandra Holcomb (James), Susan Howe(Charles), Gary, and Brian(Janice and her children, Jessica, Jacob and Jamie); grandchildren,Julie Olson (Dean), Cynthia Kilham(Erick),Amy Bernstrom(Todd),Heidi Lammers (Kevin), Dan Edstrom (Sarah), Eric Edstrom, Tim Howe, Sara Gracek(Brian), Lynnae Howe and Greta Kahl (Chuck); great grandchildren, Cameron, Maren and Tristan Olson, Anders and Bergen Kilham, Logan, and 6 week old triplets, Levi, Jacob and Ben Lammers; brothers, Walter (Bette) and Edward (Elsie); sister, Marion Neuman (Edward); and many other relatives and friends .Service Tuesday 11AM at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH 115 N. 4th St., Stillwater. Interment Fairview Cemetery. Visitation Monday 5-8PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Hwy 5) and one hour prior to the service at the church.
