Levonne Larson

Levonne Larson, age 97. Charter member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, much loved by children, Linda (Larry) Berger, Janet, Brent (Cindy), Blake (Julia), Karen (Doug Storms); grandchildren, Mark (Jessica) Berger, Scott (Sarah Gibson) Berger, Matthew (Katie), Andrew, Chad (Caitlin), Christopher (Jennifer Mihok); Sarah (Matthew) Davis; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Cohen, Stella, Miles, Grace, Caroline, Connor, Cameron, Caleb, Aran, Mira, Abigail, Henry. Levonne was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Magda; husband, Henry; grandson, Erik Berger.

As a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Brighton she actively participated in a multitude of ministries, touching many lives. She found joy in music, singing in the church choir and with ensembles like the Frederick Hilary Chorale.

A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, she worked at Lutheran Brotherhood as Director of Continuing Education and volunteered at the American Swedish Institute, contributing her skills and dedication to those organizations. She was kind and thoughtful, always marking special occasions with heartfelt cards and caring gestures. She lovingly prepared Sunday dinners for her children and grandchildren, creating cherished family memories around the dinner table. Her love for cooking led her to victory at the Pillsbury Bake-Off.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1900 7th Street NW, New Brighton, with a reception to follow. Memorials preferred to Christ the King. For those unable to attend in person, the memorial service will be streamed at Christ the King's website
