Lillian Bowell

A mother's love embraces the full potential in your heart. She sees your best face. She knows your soul like no other. That is what makes her special.

Lillian F. Bowell passed away on January 7, 2018 at age 93 in Bayport. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise; siblings, Leve, Thelma, Lloyd, Grace, June; husband, Capt William D Bowell, Sr. She is survived by her children, Shelley (Jim) Kosmo, Bill Bowell, Beth Myers; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Armanini; brother-in-law, Robert Lambert; many nieces, nephews and friends. Co-founder of the family business, Padelford Riverboats, in 1969, Lillian had a wonderful life. She was blessed with good friends and joined clubs such as tennis, bridge, book, dance and church. She did a crossword puzzle every day, and was good at it. She loved birds of any kind, but especially songbirds. She loved to read. Growing up in Sheldon, MN, she read every book in her one-room schoolhouse's library. She was a walking encyclopedia (You young kids will have to Google that word.). Her last days were spent in the loving care of the staff of Lakeview Hospice and Croixdale. Her family will treasure memories of Lillian, full of life and love. Memorial service will be 2PM Tuesday at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation one hour prior.
