Lois Ann (Anderson) Munson
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother
Lois passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2024, at the age of 92. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Corey) Darsow, Dana (Cyndy Rudolph) Munson, Ross (Vicki) Munson; grandchildren, Wade Darsow, Allison (Jeff) Boldt, Rebecca (Jake) DeBilzan, Britta (Mitch) Graham, Louis Rudolph-Munson, Jason (Kimberlie) Tiegen, Jennifer (Peter) Peyerl, Lisa (David) Wright; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Zachary, Sydney, Anika, Lyla, Wesley, Adeline, Eleanor, Garrison, Jacob, Luke, Jared, Matthew, Alexis, Peyton, Tiegen, Noah, Madison, Makenna, Alaina, and Allison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents, Louis and Annie; sisters, Alice, Rachel, Gladys, Eva, Carol, and Judy; and brothers, Norman and Howard.
Lois grew up on a farm outside of Middle River, the eighth of Louis and Annie Anderson's nine children. After helping out on the farm in her youth, she moved to St. Paul to attend high school at the University of Minnesota's "farm campus." Following high school and through her adult life, Lois had many jobs, including working at the power company in downtown St. Paul and in a local dental office, as well as being an expert lefse maker for Ingrebretson's Nordic Marketplace. Lois's favorite occupation, however, was being a wife, mother, and caregiver. She and Ralph Munson, her loving husband of 60-plus years, raised three children together, and built beautiful, meaningful lives for them at their home in South Minneapolis and cabin on Scott Lake. Lois was also very connected to family and friends, and especially to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many siblings and their families. She will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful, fun-loving, and spunky woman, as well for her culinary gifts, including the lemon bars, chocolate rolls, Swedish pancakes, and cheesy potatoes into which she poured so much love. We miss her immensely but are comforted that she's now in a better place together with her many loved ones who passed before her.
