Lois Holmes, 85, died peacefully at NC Little Hospice on August 19th after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Renwick. She was also preceded in death by her first spouse, Dean Holmes, sons, Daniel Holmes and Timothy Holmes. She is survived by daughter, Diane (nee Holmes) Boeser of Arvada, CO; granddaughters, Janet Boeser of Vail, CO, Karen Boeser of Westminster, CO and great-grandchildren Brittney Boeser, Tara Boeser and Kylah Waychoff all of CO. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Bridget Kruchowski of St Paul and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was born in Springfield, MN on August 28, 1918; she later moved to Minneapolis where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was a talented professional dancer and an extraordinary dance teacher. Lois was a 50-yr. active member of Annunciation Catholic Parish. Lois had a wonderful sense of humor, was loving and giving to all people and creatures. She was a remarkable woman who touched many lives and will be deeply missed by her family, countless friends and neighbors. In celebration of her life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 23rd at 11 A.M. at CHURCH OF THE ANNUNCIATION, 501 West 54th Street. Interment St Mary's Cemetery. Visitation Sunday August 22nd 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. will include prayers and rosary. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass ALL AT THE CHURCH. Memorials may be made to Annunciation Parish or Animal Humane Society, 845 Meadow Lane North, Golden Valley, MN 55422.
