DuBois, Loretta Denice
(nee Ehrler), (also called Pat or Patsy), grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota and passed away on January 26, 2019 (age 92 years). Preceded in death by her parents William Ehrler and Stella Sylvestre, as well as her loving husband LeRoy DuBois, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by six children: Steven (Laurel), David, William (Barbara), Renee, Diana (Doug Nethercut), Lorie, and nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Loretta and LeRoy, her husband of 64 years, enjoyed U.S. Army life, living in Maryland, Germany for over a decade, North Dakota, and Minnesota during a series of 21 moves before settling down in Vadnais Heights. She worked many different jobs during her 30 year career, retiring from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in 1992. Loretta had a wonderful sense of humor, loved her family deeply, was kind, loved to bake home-made cookies and feed people delicious food, was compassionate, a hard worker, had tremendous perseverance, enjoyed walks with her husband, and instilled a love of travel in all her children. In public, she always stopped to play with babies and to talk with young mothers. For the past 25 years, since her retirement, she has walked at Maplewood Mall almost every day and enjoyed attending a weekly Investment Forum held at the Fairview Community Center in Roseville. She found joy and beauty in simple pleasures and was eternally optimistic. She was loved by all who knew her. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Bradshaw Funeral and Cremation Services and Celebration of Life Center, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake.
