Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2007. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luverne and her son, Mark, who died in 1974 at the age of 20. She was born on June 17, 1929 in Swanville, MN to John and Anna Barton. Loretta was married to Luverne Worms on June 19, 1950. Together, in their 56 year marriage, they raised 8 children. She is survived by Michael (Mary Ann); Charles (Kaye); Jeffrey (Janelle); Timothy (Christine); Susan; Christopher (Michelle) and Nancy Stumpf (Frank); 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Loretta dedicated her life to the care of her family, for which we will be forever grateful. She possessed a quiet, gentle strength. Firm but fair. Strength of character and of faith. Her faith was her salvation. Patient. Proper. Dignified. Graceful. Loretta?s legacy is all of this. If one is ever unsure, simply ask ?What would she do?? Hold close and reflect upon your memories of her, for they are treasures indeed. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10am at MATERNITY OF MARY CHURCH, 1414 Dale Street. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-8 pm at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Hwy 96 (one mile west of 35E) and one hour prior to Mass at the church.
