Lori Olsson, age 70, of Stillwater, Minnesota passed away April 26,2024 peacefully in her home after struggling with a variety of illnesses and injuries over the last two years. She was a pillar of strength and resilience and was much loved by those who knew her.
Preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Lorraine Barkley, Lori's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her husband Robert, her children Andrew (Shelby), Bryan (Mika), and Katherine (Ben), her grandchildren Will, Lily, Zoey, and Zachary, and many others.
Lori grew up in Billings, Montana and received her bachelor's in Institutional Food Management. She became a Registered Dietitian at Montana State University where she met Robert, her husband of 48 years. Though she loved her career, she made the selfless decision to become a stay-at-home mom and devoted her time to her children when the family moved to Minnesota in 1986.
Settled in North St. Paul, Lori was an active member of the community and in her kids' educations serving a three-year term on the district 622 School Board. Her dedication to helping others in their time of need led to her volunteering nationwide on multiple disaster relief efforts with the Red Cross for ten years.
Lori's passions were gardening, quilting, cross stitching, and cooking. She was known for her deep love and devotion to her friends and family and was happiest when spending time baking with her grandchildren.
She brought much joy and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held on July 11, 2024 at North Haven Church, 2240 15th Avenue E., North St. Paul MN 55109. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM, service at 11:00 AM, and reception to follow at 12:00 PM.
