Louie James Edlund, age seven of Cottage Grove, passed away in his parents' arms on December 13, 2018, after countless challenges with Trichothiodystrophy (TTD).
His diagnosis did nothing to stand in the way of his engaging personality, the joy he brought to others, and the love he inspired in everyone around him, both friends and strangers alike. He was cheered on by the unconditional love of his parents, Theresa and Ryan, and others who survive him: sisters, Esme and Orla; grandparents, Jim and Peg Tully, Ric and Lynne Edlund; aunts and uncles, Jenny, Nik (Sarah), Andy; cousins, Brady, Dylan, Kaden, Hattie, Landon; and a large extended family and community of supporters called Lou's Crew.
Louie was a big fan of Blue's Clues and the Happy Birthday song, had a silly sense of humor, and played baseball in the East Metro Miracle League. Those who knew Louie will forever be changed by the lessons he taught them.
A funeral service and celebration will be held at 2PM Friday, December 21 at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation beginning at 12PM. Memorials are preferred and may be given to the family for organizations that benefit kids.
