Died August 20th surrounded by loving family after a two week struggle to recover from a cardiac arrest on August 4th. Born in Syracuse, New York to late parents, Nick and Dorothy Adornato. Louis was passionate about science and engineering, and followed his father's footsteps in working with NASA. He worked as a software engineer, and always had a great interest in aerodynamics, astrophysics, and other branches of science. Louis also loved to laugh, and had a unique ability to make a joke in any situation. He was a devoted, kind, and loving husband and father, who will be deeply missed. Louis is survived by his wife, Andrea Adornato; siblings, Vincent Adornato and Carol (Jerry) Culkin; son, David Adornato; daughters, Lindsay (Nathan) Mayernik and Kate (Al) Bassett; and grandson, Maximilian. Visitation and funeral are to be held Saturday, August 26th. Visitation at 10AM, funeral at 11AM at ST. JUDE OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 700 Mahtomedi Ave, Mahtomedi, MN 55115. Lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, family would request all donations be sent to the University of Minnesota Fairview, the Planetary Society, or St. Jude of the Lake Catholic Church.
