Loyal Dewayne Reed
May 13th 1948 - January 1st 2019

Loyal Dewayne Reed of White Bear Lake Minnesota passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones at 70 years of age on January 1st 2019. The beloved husband of Teresa Berlin Reed for 40 wonderful years. Loyal was born in St. Paul Minnesota. The first born to James and Lorraine Reed. The Reed family moved several times before they finally settled in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. His first born son Tony was born in 1969. Loyal joined the Army in 1971. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1975. After his time in the Army he attended NEI College of Technology. It was at time he met the love of his life, Teresa Berlin in November 1976. They married on October 7th 1978. They had three sons; Garrett, Seth and Andrew. He stared his career as a field engineer with Kodak. Loyal left Xerox in 2014 and was excited to begin his lifelong dream of being retired so he could spend more time doing the things he loved most in life. He was an optimist to the core, despite recently being diagnosed with cancer. Loyal being the glowing person he was, enjoyed so many things. He loved to create beautiful works of art, going out on the boat for a cruise, fishing, golfing, getting together with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was also a fantastic cook. Loyal was truly an amazing man that lived up to his name. The best Husband and Father any family could possibly be blessed with. We are all going to miss you so much. We find peace and comfort knowing you are in good company patiently awaiting us with your one of a kind genuine smile.

Loyal is preceded in death by his parents Jim & Lorraine Reed. He is survived by his wife Terry, 4 sons Tony (Missy), Garrett, Seth, and Andrew, 4 grandsons Alec, Tyler, Elijah & Sullivan. His sibling's Jim (Sheryl), Linda (Rick), Karen (Mark), sisters-in-law Barb (Chuck) & Patty (Jim), his Aunt Kathy (Gene). Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
