Born on September 3rd, 1991, Luke's journey through life was marked by significant milestones and achievements. He earned his diploma in Welding Technology from St. Paul College in 2012. He went on to complete his Pipefitting Apprenticeship Diploma Program in 2019, becoming a Journeyman for Local 455. His dedication to his profession and his union was unwavering, and his skills as a Pipefitter were widely admired by colleagues and friends.
Luke was not only known for his hard work but also for his mischievous sense of humor. He had a silly streak and was a playful prankster, always ready to share a laugh with those around him. He had a unique ability to lighten the mood and make people smile, and his classic Luke laugh will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
As a responsible and caring member of the family, Luke took great pride in looking after his loved ones. Whether it was taking care of the tab during outings, ensuring everyone's well-being, or sharing his wisdom, Luke's love and care knew no bounds. He brought joy and excitement to every occasion, surprising everyone with his playful antics, including: fireworks, and adventurous outings.
In his younger days, Luke's love for frisbee golf, exploring waterfalls, and hiking destinations took him on many thrilling adventures. Later in life, he found joy in the garage, dedicating time to work on his cars and crafting beautiful welded trinkets like metal flowers and tall ashtrays. He also had a passion for collecting vintage lighters and enjoyed attending car shows with his Dad and Brothers. Luke's loving nature extended to his family, and he never missed a chance to be there for them during birthdays, reunions, or holidays.
Recently, Luke achieved a dream he held dear: purchasing his first home in June 2023, complete with 28 acres of land. He was excitedly planning to renovate the house and had welcomed a new feline companion into his life, making the house feel like a home.
Luke's kindness and caring nature touched the lives of many, including his parents Rick and Kim Barnhart, his siblings Zack, Justin, and Caitlin, and his niece Carina Stuard. He cherished the company of his many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends and shared a special bond with his good friend Travis Christmann. His grandparents Jim and Sandy Barnhart also held a special place in his heart. Luke was preceded in death by his grandparents Alden & Janice Johnson.
