Obituary

Mabel Yarkie Penney passed away this day of August 10, 2013 at 4:00AM
at Waverly Gardens, North Oaks MN after a long battle with
Alzheimer's. She is survived by her husband, William H. Penney, and
her children Sue Penney (Mike Brocco), Kate (Scot) Bromann , Tom
(Lynn) Penney, and Ellen (Rob) Farrell, and her six grandchildren,
Nick and Ben Bromann, Sam and Sophie Penney, Mackenzie and Erin
Farrell, and her sisters Pauline Garrow and Karen Heimberg.

Mabel was born in Merrimac, WI and finished her nursing education in
Milwaukee with graduate studies at the University of Minnesota. Mabel
met her husband, Bill, at the U of M and married him in 1954.

Mabel had a long and successful career in nursing and public health.
She enjoyed her retirement years through travel, nature, art, and
music. She dedicated her life to caring for others. The love she
gave to her family and friends during her life will continue to live
on in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15 at Waverly
Gardens, 5919 Centerville Road, North Oaks, MN 55129 at the Chapel on
the lower level. Visitation is at 1:00 and Funeral Service at 1:30PM.
