Maisy Jolaine Leon
Born on January 21, 2025 and passed on February 19, 2025 surrounded by loving family, friends and hospital staff.
She is preceded in death by her brother Maxwell Curtis Leon and cousin Lynn Catherine Cutler and Grandma Debra Lou Leon.
She is survived by her parents Chad and Cassandra; sister Madalyn; grandparents Brad, Julie & Curt; and many others beloved family.
Maisy Jolaine Leon made, like her namesake great grandma Jolaine Tauer, had such an unbelievably profound impact on everyone that got the chance to meet her. Right from birth she continued to beat all the odds and surprise the hospital staff with her strength and fight for life. She truly earned the name Mighty Maisy. With every turn of events she continued to exceed everyone's expectations of her. Her grace and tolerance of all the treatments and procedures were unmatched. She fought with all of her strength and the utmost grace. Her sassiness and silliness shown through every day we got to spend with her. She, even at her young age, was showing some fun family features as well. She had long fingers and eyelashes just like her sister and a cute dimpled chin like her Dad. She loved to kick her little feet and we were all convinced she would be a tap dancer like her sister. She loved to hold her breathing tube to "help" out the respiratory staff and she saved all her extra poopy diapers for Mom and her favorite nurse Mike. Her time with us although cut way too short was unbelievably beautiful and impactful.
Friends and family we can't begin to express how much your support has meant to us during this time. You've been there for us in ways we never expected, and were so grateful for the unwavering kindness and love. Thank you for being a constant source of strength and positivity in our life. Were truly blessed to have everyone by our side.
We would also like to thank Maple Grove Hospital NICU. The team of nurses, nurse practitioner, doctors, and respiratory therapist, that walked along side us during this journey are truly unmatched. The NICU staff provided compassionate and specialized care to our sweet Maisy, offering critical support to our family during a very vulnerable time, often the staff was witnessing and celebrating remarkable milestones in the development of Maisy.
