Passed away at age 84 on December 30, 2023 at home surrounded by family after a long illness. Peggy grew up in West Saint Paul, Minnesota and attended Henry Sibley High School. She met her future husband, Bill, while playing tennis and they were married a few years after. She raised her four children in the Como Park area of St. Paul before moving to Stillwater. Her joy in life was being a mother and grandmother, and she excelled in those roles.
She took on everything with good spirit as a mother, arranging camping trips, flooding the back yard for skating, caring for pets,
organizing activities for the neighborhood kids, and helping build a cabin on Lake Pokegama. She was a great athlete in bowling
and golf, and was the ladies nine-hole golf champion at Town and Country Club. As her children grew up, she went to work as the office manager at Anderson Dale Architects. In retirement she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, having luncheons with her siblings, gardening, and going on adventures with her friends and neighbors. She is loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Carol Probst; and brother, Lee Probst. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William (Bill); children, Stephen (Kim Mason), Heidi (Mark) Wingerd, Michael (DJ Gramann), and Jeff; grandchildren, Jack (Maddy), Andy, and Matthew Wingerd, and Luke and Kate Anderson; siblings, James (Rose Lee) Probst, Judy Boldt; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday January 5th at 11am at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Rd, Mahtomedi, with visitation beginning one hour prior.
