Age 93 passed away August 4, 2016. Preceded in death by loving husband of 54 years, LeRoy T. Carlson; twin sister, Carolyn; sister, Audrey Larson; nephew, Mark Conroy; brother-in-law, James (Mary Ann) Carlson. Survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Joy (Bill) Carter and Glenn (Leslie) Carlson; grandchildren, Carolyn (Ezekiel) Gwi and Alex Carter; step-grandsons, Peter (Nikki) DeLisi, Andrew DeLisi; step- great-grandson, James Delisi; brother, Clarence (Carol) Broecker; sister-in-law, Yvonne (Lawrence) Conroy and several nieces and nephews. Marian graduated from Stillwater High School and attended St. Cloud Teacher's College and received a BS degree from River Falls College. She taught in Stillwater School District for 38 years. In addition to her many dedicated years of teaching, Marian was an active volunteer. She served in the Sunday School Dept. of Trinity Lutheran Church for 25 years and was the head of the funeral luncheon committee for 20 years. She volunteered for Loaves and Fishes, the Teddy Bear Clinic at Lakeview Hospital, Stonebridge School and was the head of Boutwell's One Room School House Summer Camp. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 8th at 11 AM at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 4th St. N., Stillwater with a visitation beginning at 10 AM. Private Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Afton, MN. Memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church Library or Global Health Ministries (Dr. Mark Jacobson).
