Marianne Nack

Marianne Beth Mathre Nack, 77, of Minneapolis MN passed away after a brief illness on April 14, 2019.

Marianne was born in Chicago, IL on December 7, 1941, daughter of the late Raymond and Beulah Mathre, long time missionaries in Cameroon, Africa.

She graduated from Northwestern Nursing School in 1965. Most of her nursing career was spent as a Mother/Baby nurse at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

Marianne married Lloyd Nack on September 25, 1965. They had 2 sons, Bryan on 12/29/68, and Kevin on 09/01/74. Unfortunately, they each passed before she did: Kevin in 2006, Bryan in 2014, and Lloyd in 2018.

Marianne suffered a stroke last fall, and moved into Augustana Health Care Center for more care. She settled in easily and enjoyed the activities there, especially the knitting club. She was a skilled knitter and also did beautiful embroidery called hardanger.

A Memorial Service celebrating Marianne's life will be held at the Augustana Chapel on Wednesday May 15th at 2:00 PM. Please feel free to join us.
