Died peacefully at the Marion Center on December 29, 2009. Preceded in death by husbands, Albert Grenz and Milo Langness; siblings, Delores, Paul, Jean Fox, Adeline Quist, and Joan Moe. Survived by children, Mary Steam of Red Wing, Madelynn Haumschild (Robert) of Inver Grove Heights, Maxine Proetz (Edward) of Duluth, Michael Langness (Nancy) of St. Paul, Marciel Koren of St. Paul, and Margaret Adams (David) of Kaneohe, HI; and a large extended family. Marie was an accomplished caterer, seamstress, and world traveler. She was an active member of VFW 7555, served as Auxillary Post President, and was a volunteer with the Red Cross and Veterans Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at CHURCH OF SAINT JEROME, 380 East Roselawn. Visitation one-hour prior at Church. Delayed burial at FORT SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY Wednesday, January 6, at 1:30 P.M. Special thanks to the staff at Marian Center for their loving care.
