Marilyn Agnes Deaner

Born December 23, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN, met Jesus on March 23, 2025 in Germantown, WI at the age of 86. She held many titles over the years including Daughter, Sister, Loving and Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandma Deaner, Great-Grandma Deaner, Aunt, Godmother and Mrs. Deaner. Marilyn was a secretary/receptionist and retail clerk at many Stillwater area businesses. Her most important titles were caring mother and incredible homemaker. Her hobbies included knitting, square dancing, and shopping. Marilyn was married to her husband James, the love of her life, for 61 years. She spent her retirement winters at Happy Days retirement community in Arizona, meeting many good and faithful friends. 

She is survived by her sons, Mike (Katy) Deaner, Brian (Nancy) Deaner, and Steve (Delphine) Deaner; grandchildren, Crystal (Jeff) Hayes, Brandon (Allison) Deaner, Melissa (Mike) Renz, Sarah Deaner, and Adam (Olivia) Deaner; great grandchildren, Adelyn Hayes, Melody Hayes, Preston Renz; sisters, Janet Burgoyne, Sue (Gene) Roerick; sister-in-law, Carol Berglund. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, James, nephews Greg Barton and Jason Roerick.

Celebration of Marilyn's Life will be held at 11am on Friday, April 4th at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
