Marilyn Ann King

Marilyn King (nee Welter) 1930 - 2023
Age 92, of Stillwater, and formerly of Lake Elmo. Marilyn passed peacefully on August 8, after a
brief illness. Marilyn was born in Aberdeen, SD, to Ruth and Elmer Welter, and grew up in St.
Paul, MN. She attended Murray High School and the University of Minnesota Dental School,
acquiring a degree in Dental Assisting, a career she enjoyed through most of her adult life.
Marlyn married Robert King in 1965, and soon after, they made a home in Lake Elmo. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents, Ruth and Elmer Welter, and brother,
Charles J. Welter. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and
nephews, great-grandnieces and nephews. and and a host of long-time friends. Marilyn
remained active throughout her life, and enjoyed bingo, puzzles, lunches out with nieces,
having time at the beauty salon, and warm drives through winter light shows.
A private service and interment have been held.
