Services for Marilyn Klaassen, age 84, of Stillwater will be Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 6201 Osgood Avenue North, Stillwater. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
Marilyn passed away February 28, 2009. She was born July 15, 1924 in Windom, MN to Max and Emma Langley. She married Harry D. Klaassen in Windom on November 16, 1946. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Stillwater, attended Minnesota School of Business and worked as a secretary in the insurance industry. She volunteered at Lakeview Hospital Day Surgery for many years accumulating 907 hours of service. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver and enjoyed playing cards, particularly Bridge.
Marilyn was preceded in death by sister, Jurene Lee and brother, Curtis Langley. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, Harry; children, Lynn Klaassen, and Scott (Patti) Klaassen; grandchildren, Ben and Laura Klaassen; brother, Russell (Joyce) Langley; many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church or the M.S. Society.
