Miller, Marilyn D. (Nee: Downey)

Passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born September 8, 1932 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She received her education in the Boston area. She met her husband, Joseph, an MIT student from Stillwater, MN, while employed at the Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratory in Cambridge, MA. She loved the 11:00 Mass at St Michael's, pontooning on the St. Croix River, annual trips to New England, and music. Marilyn had dear friends and neighbors whose friendship she enjoyed for many decades in Stillwater. “All Irish” Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Joseph A. Miller. She is survived by her children, George (Melissa), Terese, John (Sue), Martin (Laurie), Bill (Debbie); grandchildren, Ryan and Tim, Clare and Anne, Tara and Travis; great-grandchildren Alivia, Austin, Alaina, Paige, Tyler. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, August 5th at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 611 3rd Street South, Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the care givers, and Lakeview Hospice who enabled her to stay in her home until the end of her life.
