Passed away at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater surrounded by her family. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister in law and aunt. She is preceded in death by parents, Louis & Edith Larson; sons, Gregory and David; nephew, Todd and nephew in law, Lance. Survived by husband, Bill; son, John (Nora); grandchildren, John (Katie), Susan (Quinn), Kathryn, Aaron and Joanne; great grandchildren, Anthony John, Ava and Marilyn; brother, Peder (Karen); niece, Dee McFarland; nephew, Tim Larson; daughter in law, Laura Bakley and other relatives and dear friends. Marilyn was born in Crookston, MN, lived on the family farm and attended Mentor High School graduating in 1950. She went into nurses training at St. Barnabas Hospital in Mpls. Graduating in 1953 as an RN. Her nursing career included 20 years at MMC in Mpls. and 20 years at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater where she touched the lives of countless people. Marilyn and Bill were married in 1954 and lived in Johnsville, MN until moving to the family farm in Stillwater. She enjoyed spending time with family, her grand and great grandchildren. She also taught her grandchildren to can and freeze garden produce. She also baked for the church sales and helped at the food shelf. One of Marilyns' specialties was her canned brandy peaches. She also enjoyed playing Skipbo with her good friend Barb Risenhoover. Marilyn and Bill traveled by motor home to many parts of the south west U.S. including trips to Key West. Memorial service Saturday 11:00AM at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 490 N. Fourth Street, Bayport. Visitation Friday 5-8PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard ( NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5 ), Stillwater and 1 hour prior to service at the church.
