Marjorie A. Helseth, 92 years old, of White Bear Lake MN died peacefully on March 1, 2024 following a brief hospitalization.
Born February 16, 1932 in Newburg, ND to Henry and Valena Shong, Marjorie was one of seven children. Following graduation from Deering High School in Deering, ND, Marjorie was employed as a nurses' aide at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND. In 1951 she married Ivan Helseth. They lived in Burlington, ND until moving to White Bear Lake, MN in 1963. She resumed her nursing career working as a Physical Therapy Aide at St. John's Hospital, Maplewood, MN until her retirement.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Elizabeth (Larry) Westfield, Sidney (Mimi) Helseth, Harlan (Teresa) Helseth, Linda (Lee) Westfield; 12 grandchildren and their spouses, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, one brother - Everett (Karen) Shong, one sister - Marlis (Darrell) Peterson, and one sister-in-law Elaine Shong as well as many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivan, 4 siblings - Clayton, Helen, Alvina, Donna Mae and numerous brothers and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Marjorie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Some of her many interests included embroidery, quilting, Wednesday Morning Coffee Club, playing cards and spending time at the beach.
Celebration of Life Service will be at Bradshaw Funeral Home in White Bear Lake, MN on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be designated to River Bank Emily Helseth Benefit Fund
