Marty Rossini

June 21, 1940 — April 9, 2025

Martin Paul Rossini

Age 84 passed away on April 9th, 2025.

He was born on June 21st, 1940 to Martin and Bernadette Rossini in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He attended all 13 years of grade and high school at Saint Agnes School in Saint Paul, graduating in 1958. Marty attended St. Cloud State College, majoring in Social Studies and Physical Education and also found his future wife, Pat, there. They were married on August 3rd, 1963, and moved to their first home in Swanville, MN where he taught and coached for three years.

In 1966, they moved to their new home on South Everett Street in Stillwater where they lived for the next 50 years. Marty was a Social Studies and Driver Ed teacher at Stillwater High School from 1966 to 1996. For several years, he was also an assistant football and boys hockey coach. Marty was a very active member and leader of local, state, and national education and driver ed associations, holding many offices including a term as president for national driver ed teachers.

His favorite times were spent attending activities of his 10 beloved grandchildren, as well as the weekly breakfasts at Joseph's, the Lowell Inn with coaching and teaching friends, and The Friday Guys. Our family appreciates those friendships and especially the gatherings for nearly 60 years with "The Card Club".

Marty was a very active member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church where he served as a trustee, on parish council, as a lector, and Fun Fest organizer. His favorite project was serving with his friend, Brad Schraut, on the major renovation of Saint Michael's. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

In 2015, Marty and Pat moved from their Everett Street home to a home at Boutwells Landing where he lived until October of 2023 when he entered memory care there. Our family is beyond grateful for the kind and loving care by all the staff on 3rd floor of The Gables at Boutwells.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Bernadette; his 6 year old daughter, Amy, in 1980; and his 8 year old grandson, Joseph, in 2003.

He will be forever remembered by his wife, Pat; his children Sue(Scott) Faust of Stillwater, Tim(Cathy) Rossini of Inver Grove Heights, Jeff(Lori) Rossini of Hudson WI, and Sherrie(Troy) Gutzman of Woodbury; 10 grandchildren Willie(Maggie), Ben(Liz), Andy(Kristen), Gabi, Max(Olivia), Sam, Sydney, Dominic, Charlie, and Sophie; 5 dear great grandchildren Rocco, Vincent, Francesca, Josephine, and Lucille; siblings Bev(Tom) Osiecki, Ger Norder, Marge(Dan) Reif, and Tom Rossini; in-laws Ruth(Gary) Magnuson, Jeri(Lenny) Coequyt, Doug(Helen) Devereaux, Kevin(Diane) Devereaux, Dennis Devereaux, and Kathy Devereaux; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
