Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Counselor, and Co-worker

Mary Eckberg passed away March 5, 2010. A long-time resident of Stillwater, MN, Mary graduated from Alverno College in 1993 and earned a Masters of Science degree in Community Counseling from Winona State University in 1998. She worked as a counselor at Hazelden and volunteered at several outreach sites. Mary loved her family, friends, home, animals, work, and gardening. Her mother Betty Eckberg; siblings, Laurel Young, Cathryn Eckberg, and Richard Eckberg II; nieces and nephews; and dog Wylie survive her. Her father, Dr. Richard Eckberg, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center at 3 p.m., March 24 ^th , with visitation preceding the service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Mary's name at the Aussie Rescue of Minnesota C/O Nancy Anderson, 9031 Mason Avenue, Elk River, MN 55330 (763-441-4377), where Wylie is awaiting adoption.
