Mary Louise Friedl (nee Peltier) was born in St. Paul, MN July 20, 1929 to Adrian and Marie Peltier. She attended St. Agnes Grade School and High School. On September 15, 1951she married Richard J. Friedl. Mary Lou was very active in the St. Bernard's parish community serving as president of the Altar and Rosary Society for ten years and other parish organizations and parish high school. In 1965 Mary Lou began employment with the State of Minnesota for the Department of Labor and Industry where she worked until her retirement in 1991. Mary Lou enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She was a counselor to her grandchildren, especially her granddaughters, lending a supporting ear and heart. Stricken with Alzheimer's, Mary Lou lived for 7 years at Woodlyn Heights Senior Living Center where she died peacefully on June 22, 2017, one month shy of her 88th birthday. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard, her children Rev. Thomas Friedl, James (Kathleen) Friedl, Catherine (Matt) Remackel and Margaret (Dave) Trupe, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, June 29th at 11AM at CHURCH OF ST. BERNARD, 187 West Geranium. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
