Mary Louise Krizon

Aunt Lou was born in Fenton, Iowa to Fred (Fritz) and Myrtle Arbogast on November 8, 1907. She passed away at the age of 101 on January 21, 2009. She married Andrew Krizon on March 4, 1944. They did not have any children of their own so their nieces and nephews and the next generations became theirs. Aunt Lou's birthday cakes were specially chosen for every child's party. Uncle Andy passed away September 18, 1968 and as she said, 24 years was never enough time. An independent woman who got a driver's license at 60, a strong Democrat who proudly voted in every election and stayed informed on current events. She and her sister in law Helen Stevenson and her sister Edie enjoyed the senior dances and becoming the junk food seniors at McDonalds. Louise took great care of her `baby sister' Edie. She was preceded in death by the following: parents; husband Andy Krizon; sisters and brothers - Thelma Griep, Helen Salisbury, Clarence (Helen) Arbogast, Edith (Carl) Christianson, Josephine Arbogast, and Clayton Doty; sisters and brothers in law - John (Anna) Krizan, Michael (Sue) Krizon, Susan (John) Starrett, Ann (Paul) Gosling, Mary (Al) HIlmo, Helen (Harry) Stevenson, Sophie (Ben) Sorensen; nieces - Phyllis (Don) Stevens, Georgiana (Robert) Vanderhyde; nephews - Adrian Arbogast, Harry Stevenson, Jr., Jim Sorensen, Jack Starrett, Roger Starrett and James Hill, Sr.

She will be missed and is survived by godchild, great-niece and caregiver Dawn Schnickels-Johnson. Aunt Lou is also survived by the following and their families: cousin Helen Gresko; niece Yvonne (Gerald) Schmidt and family; Phyllis Stevens family; Krizon families - nieces and nephews: Sue Hill, Helen (Marvin) Schnickels, (Ruthie Stevenson), Tom (Janet) Stevenson, Karen (Gary) Bakken, (Betty Starrett), (Sue Starrett), Shirley Krizon, Mary Krizon, Milton (Marvel) Krizan, Kathy (Dale) Peterson, (Elaine Sorensen), David (Jolene) Gosling, John (Ginger) Gosling and Charles (Margie) Gosling.

She has many great; great-great; and great-great- great nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful godmother to Dawn and Jim Hill, Jr. A special thank you to all of the staff at Benedictine Health Care Center at Innsbruck and the Hospice staff for the wonderful and gentle care you gave Aunt Lou in the last years of her life. You did it with respect and love.
