Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Gene; her son Jim; her parents, Robert and Catherine Blanchard; sisters Lorraine, Catherine, Shirley and Beverly.
Survived by children, Mary Crosby (Paul), Patty Lyons (Patrick), Paul (Judy), Cathy (Toni) and daughter-in-law, Sue; 10 Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 5 dog grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Ellen was a life long Eastside resident. Despite the many challenges and losses over the past four years, Mary Ellen never lost her faith, strength, grace, or Irish wit. She was happiest, even to the very end, when with her family. They were everything to her and she was everything to her family. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 11:30AM at SAINT THOMAS THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2119 Stillwater Ave, St. Paul. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. We would like to thank everyone who cared for mom these past few years.
