Marylis Boyden

Marylis (Fasching) Boyden, age 92 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021. Born the second of six children and raised in Maple Lake, Minnesota by her parents, Herman and Anna, Marylis raised her own family in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She is survived by three daughters; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. Marylis was an award-winning quilter, and also poured her love into knitting sweaters, hats and mittens for all of her family and friends. Even in the midst of dementia, Marylis was never idle, and was always able to participate in life. As she wished, there will be no memorial service. Instead, Marylis has asked that you “honor me by taking a friend to lunch. Have a piece of fish and a tall glass of beer.” Memorial gifts preferred to Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association.
