It is with heavy hearts that we share with all of our family and friends the passing of our beloved son, Maxwell Xiong, on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Maxwell will be remembered as an intellectual, creative, and caring young man. He is described by friends and family as someone with a heart of gold who always gave the most genuine hugs. His empathetic and compassionate nature and willingness to put his own concerns aside to listen and understand his family and friends is a genuine and precious gift we will all miss.
His passions were robotics, technology, and creative arts, and he accomplished building his own computer from scratch. He was inquisitive about history and the military, expressed it through collecting uniforms and field gear, and enjoyed vacations to historical sites. His future ambition after high school was to serve in the U.S. armed forces, thus he took part in the North High School NJROTC Air Force Cadet program. He also enjoyed jiu-jitsu and muay thai; sports he learned alongside his father.
Maxwell will be greatly missed by those who survive him: his father (Kou), mother (Mee), sister (Krystal), paternal grandparents (Choua, Xong, and Souk), maternal grandparent (Christopher),
and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
We will always and forever love & miss you, Max.
