Age 83, on August 19, 2004. Preceded in death by infant son, Steven; parents, Fern and Al Mueller; brother, Kenneth; & grandson, Michael Miller. Beloved husband of Betty for 61 years. Father of Susan (Jim) Beardsley, Judy (Randy) DeDeyne, Randall (Kathy), and Jeffrey (Sue). Brother to Herb (Max), and Marian (Fred) Gallagher. Grandfather of 12: Shawn and Erin McKee, Colleen Rickey, Chris Beardsley, Lindsay DeDeyne, Jill, Kim, Steve, Annie, Bobbi Jo, Kelli Jo, and Jenni Mueller. Great-Grandfather of 6: Sarah and Sammi West, Dillion, Issic, & Alex Rickey, & Zachary Raschke born on July 17, 2004. Merlyn was a 30 year employee of NSP and a Navy Veteran of World War II.



Service Tuesday, 11:00 AM at NORTH HEIGHTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2701 N. Rice Street. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Monday, 5:00-8:00 PM at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice at Magnolia, and also one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials preferred.
