Passed away from COVID-19 on September 26, 2021.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Cheney.

He is survived by his father, Dean (Audrey) Cheney; sisters, Amy (Dave) Hofmeister, Angie (Jon) Severson, Sara (Brad) Nutzman; nieces and a nephew, Jordan, Taylor, Ashley, Hannah, Emily, Alex, Kylee, Avery and Madyson; Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; and beloved 4-legged friend, Bailey.

Mike was the gentle giant. He was always making a joke or doing an impression to ensure that all those around him couldn’t help but laugh or smile. He loved his nieces and nephew dearly and often referred to them as his munchkins. They adored their uncle weird beard. He was also an amazing artist, it didn’t matter what kind of materials he had at hand. He could even turn an old pizza box into a masterpiece with just a ball point pen. There is no doubt he is now reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him, doing impressions and maybe even a few tattoos. He will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.
