Michael Nordeen

Michael J. Nordeen, age 72, of Stillwater, MN passed away in his sleep at home from complications due to pneumonia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Kermit and Gladys Nordeen. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Daphyn (nee Gustafson) Nordeen, son Bradley (Diana) Nordeen, daughter, D. Michelle Nordeen and grandson, Brayden Nordeen

Mike was born in Yankton, SD, and raised in Fosston, MN, where his father was Pastor at the Baptist church.  After graduating high school he moved to Minneapolis and attended the U of M for a while. He married Daphyn Gustafson, of Minneapolis, MN in September 1968. A month later he got his draft notice and spent a year in Viet Nam as a company clerk because of his nice handwriting and his ability to type 80 words a minute.  After he returned he managed his father-in-law’s printing company and moved to Washington County. For almost forty years he sold Ford vehicles, first in Stillwater, MN then in Hudson, WI. Everyone knew of his love of cars. He so enjoyed his grandson and Brayden loved his “Boppa”
