Michaela Steen

Michaela "Kela" Steen, age 27 of St. Paul, passed away unexpectedly on June 25.
She is survived by her parents, Kitty Walfoort & Tom Steen; son, AdanLuis Robert Cano and his father, AngelLuis Cano; twins, Victor Dominic & Monica Aubrey Villarreal and their father, Kela's partner, Nick Villarreal; sister, Rachel Steen and her daughter, Takoda St.Pierre; lifelong best friends, Lucy Zerahn, Joe Hughes; father-in-law, Randy Villarreal; godparents, Edward Walfoort and Barbie Johnson; many loved family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest "Rebel" and Margie Steen, Robert and Isabelle Walfoort; and many aunts & uncles.
Kela was a fierce woman with a free spirit, a much-loved daughter, sister, mother, friend, and always supported those around her. "She slept with wolves without fear, for the wolves knew a lioness was among them."
Funeral service will be 4PM Thursday at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice St, with visitation at 2PM. Memorials to the family preferred.
