Age 75, of Stillwater

Passed away December 1, 2021. Born in St. Paul & graduated from Cretin in 1964. Preceded in death by his father James Kane. Survived by Lynn, his wife of 47 years, mother Eileen Kane, sister Patricia Meyers. Children Joseph (Donna) Plumbo, Cheryl Kane, Angela Plumbo (Ben Kaplan), Michael (Rose) Kane, Colleen (Doug) Maddux. He had 9 Grandchildren, Katie (Steve), Jacki, Bubba (Leah), Hannah, Jordan, Tori (Julio), Rona, Jenna, Jillian & 5 Great Grandchildren. Mike loved his family first and enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow by attending their sporting events and school activities. He loved it when we had family gatherings-especially Christmas when the whole family could be together. Mike & Lynn enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and he had lots of fun fishing with the boys. He was a big football fan and spent the football season playing fantasy football. Worked for the City of Maplewood and retired after 32 years. He made everyone laugh with his quick and witty sense of humor. Mike had a big and generous heart. Now there will be a huge hole in our family and our hearts are aching, but Mike said he will be our family’s guardian angel forever. A big thank you to all the doctors and nurses that cared for Mike at United Hospital, HCMC, Regions and Lakeview Hospitals. Due to COVID a private service will be held for family and close friends. A celebration of life to follow this summer.
