Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb 15, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Pat and Ing. He is survived by Joy, his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years; children Julie (Jim), and Jodi; grandchildren Troy, Faith, Bailey & Calvin; sisters Marilyn (Jack), Trish (Mike), brother Dan (Lori); Brother-in-law John Haselbeck, and his large extended family of relatives and friends. Mike was born on St. Patrick's Day, and was a true Irishman in all respects. He lived on the east side of St. Paul all his life and graduated from Johnson High School. Mike loved to hunt and fish and spend time with family and friends at their lake cabin in Ely. Among all his qualities, Mike will be especially remembered for his kindness, love of music, good food, shooting the breeze with his buddies over coffee, and never saying a bad word about anyone. A loving husband, father, and friend, he will be deeply missed. A service in celebration of Mike's life will be held at 11:30 AM, Feb 20, 2010 at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Dr @ Hwy 96 (1 mile west of Hwy 35E). Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Nortei Dowuona, and the staff of United Hospital, for their guidance and compassionate friendship.
